Guarding the Ice

A Steller Sea Eagle flies above the pack-ice off the far eastern coast of Hokkaido, Japan. The Steller Sea Eagle is a large bird of prey that lives in coastal northeastern Asia and mainly preys on fish. It is one of the heaviest eagles in the world, weighing in at 10 to 20 pounds on average.
